Notably National Focus is in Common Sense as well drastically lowering the value of this DLC. But it does impact worldwide.ĩ: Res Publica - Basically only effects Netherlands and Merchant Republics. But otherwise pretty light.Ĩ: Mare Nostrum - It's a lot lighter on content compared to the above DLC's. However if you enjoy these things El Dorado is great.ħ: Wealth of Nations: Solid especially for India or Reformed players. Md Tier - These DLC's are more niche or have less content and you can do without them quite easily.Ħ: El Dorado - Can be avoided if you don't care about Custom Nations or playing as Andean/Incan/Aztec nations. Islamic schools are pretty cool although propagate religion is almost pointless Iqua mechanics are kinda OP and the unique gov.types are goof for the Middle East. Subject orders help with vassal play.ĥ: Cradle of Civilisation: This high purely for the Drilling -> Get more manpower button. Fetishist and Coptic mechanics make playing in Africa significantly more fun. I placed this just outside Top because some people hate the micromanagement of Estates, and if you don't like Estates.Ĥ: Rights of Man - Queens Disinherting and so on is an absolutely giant buff to any Monarchy. Worth noting that the Horde-based mechanics are slowly becoming less useful especially with Cradle making Timurids and the Sheep not Hordes. Every feature in this DLC is pretty good although not essential. High Tier - These DLC's are not game-shattering like the Top 2 but are still very very good.ģ: Cossacks - Estates add an entire other level onto the game's strategy. Oh and Constitutional Monarchy is good Theocracies are a brilliant gov.type with the DLC Protestant+Buddhist mechanics. Development lets you invest your points into making your nation richer and stronger. There's also the fact that as monarch points have become more plentiful you actually can find yourself with too many monarch points. League War is nice and extra revolution mechanics is good too.Ģ: Common Sense - Basically required to play in RotW now especially Asia unless you WANT to be eating 100~150% tech cost maluses. Top Tier - Must-have Paradox should honestly sell a bundle with Base Game+theseġ: Art of War - Pretty much any form of vassal play basically needs this DLC. I'll give you my list from most important to least important and split them into tiers of importance as well: I guess it is also cheap but honestly I wouldn't care if it was never made in the first place. But only noticeable with a handful of nations, also an overbuff to Russia.ġ2) res publica. Who plays North American tribes anywayġ1) third Rome. Random new world is nice to have but generally pretty underwhelming. Trade companies just make the whole system collapse from the weight of the cash.ġ0)conquest of paradise. Really simple feutures that are poorly balanced. Not that great though I like trade leagues and map feuturesĩ) wealth of nations. Good but few content, often gets ignored. It's decent but not a priority.Ĩ) mare nostrum. Anyway without considering that feuture it doesn't add a lot of content. Would have been higher and most people will place it higher but hear me out: I did some playthroughs with in disabled and I noticed that the feuture which most people recommend it for ( transferring occupation ) was still active. Probably one of if not my personal favourites, great content, makes me so America and the Andean nations interesting, custom nations basically make this game have infinite replay ability, content won't make much of a difference in most playthroughs thoughħ) Art of war. Good content, makes playing as a horde nation really interesting, adds a lot of micromanagement which I personally like but I understand it can get tediousĦ)el dorado. Great universal content, large impact on gameplay, offers some much needed goals, comes with the rather poor empire of china mechanic.ĥ)Cossacks. Great content, lots of content, focushed, currently not getting a discount because its new so you may want to wait for some monthsĤ) Mandate of Heaven. Fairly decent amount of content, needed if you want to play nations far away from Europe competitively, kind of all over the place though since it doesn't have much of a focushedģ) cradle of civilization. Great content, large impact on gameplay, universal feutures as well as more focushed onesĢ) common sense. Kinda subjective but my list going from most important to least important would beġ) Rights of man.
